How to write a social media caption using the AI Copywriter
Updated over 7 months ago

Social media is a common marketing channel for small businesses, but writing all the captions to post regularly can be a struggle.

Note: You can write social media captions without using the AI copywriter tool. Simply start typing in the fields you see below the “Enji can write the first draft for you section”. You can also schedule them to post with the integrated social media scheduler!

  1. Click into the “AI Copywriter” tab you see in the left side bar of your screen.

  2. Choose the social media caption type you want to write in the menu of content options.

  3. In the detail view that opens on the right side of the screen, type in the topic you want the caption to be about.

  4. Type in additional details (read: a description) so the AI copywriter has more to work off. The more detailed you are, the better your draft will be.

  5. Select whether you want the AI copywriter to include emojis.

  6. Type in a CTA (call to action) if you want the AI copywriter to include one.

  7. Select how long you want the caption to be (shorter, normal, longer).

  8. Check or uncheck the box next to “Use emojis”.

  9. Select a customer persona if you want the AI copywriter to write the content for them.

  10. Click “Draft it for me”.

To make revisions:

  • You can make revisions to your draft by directly editing the doc

To start over:

  • If you don’t think the AI copywriter did a good job with your draft, scroll to the top of the draft and our advice is to revise the topic and abstract

  • The click “Draft it for me” again

  • NOTE: You’ll lose the previous draft you had by doing this, so if there is a chance you want to keep it (or have parts of it to add into the new draft), we suggest copying and pasting it into another word document

Note: If you'd like the AI copywriter to draft in a language other than English, include instructions in the additional details section. For example, "write the draft in French."
