How to set up your customer personas
Updated over a week ago

Everything about your marketing should be tailored to your ideal customer personas, so here is how you can create your customer personas in Enji.

To get started, click on the “Strategy” tab on the left side menu. Then, click on the + in the upper right hand corner and select “Add Customer” from the drop down menu.

Your new customer will then pop up in a right hand window. You will need to:

  1. Give your client persona a name (something that helps you differentiate them from other personas you might have)

  2. Identify their gender by dragging the bar to the left or the right; if you leave it in the center it means this persona can be any gender

  3. Set their typical age range

  4. Add a few words to summarize the problems they are facing and a few words to summarize how they get their problems solved

  5. Optional: Add more info about this customer. If you have more robust personas built out in something like a Google doc, you can link to them here. Even if you don't, this is where you can document more details about who this persona is as a person, what’s motivating them to look for something like your product or service as well as anything else that is important to know when marketing to them.

NOTE: Type in adjectives that describe the style and tone of the brand voice you’d like to write for this persona in. This makes it so you can choose from your personas in the AI Copywriter to help it do a better job writing for any particular persona. If you don’t see a need for the AI copywriter to draft copy for them in anything other than your brand voice, leave the field blank “Same as brand voice”. If you want to have it as an option for the AI copywriter, add adjectives to describe how the tone and style are different from your overall brand voice. These can be things like: energetic, sarcastic, direct, playful, etc. If you leave these fields blank, your persona won’t show as an option in your AI copywriter.
