Why did my scheduled social media post fail?
Why did my scheduled social media post fail?
Updated over 2 weeks ago

If you got an email notification that a post you scheduled in the social media scheduler failed, we include the reason for the failure in that email. So the first place to look is there.

If the email notification does not explain why your scheduled post failed, here are a few reasons your scheduled piece of content might have:

  1. Your connection to the social media platform (via your Enji integration) expired and needs to be refreshed.

    1. Enji will send you a notification when a connection is expiring and needs to be refreshed, so if you receive one in the future, please log into your Enji account and refresh the connection. All you need to do is go to settings > connected accounts > click on the platform that needs the connection refreshed > click "sign in again" and follow the prompts

  2. If a scheduled post is empty, it will fail. Make sure you have filled in all the fields before scheduling anything.

  3. Enji requires approval on social media posts created from the calendar (but not the copywriter), so if you didn't approve the post, it will fail even if you scheduled it. Once you have selected a time and date for the post to go live, you will need to press the "Approve" button to ensure that Enji has permission to post it on your behalf.

  4. If the image you uploaded is too large, your scheduled post will fail. The image size limit is 8 MB.

  5. Sometimes social media platforms go down, and when they do, scheduled posts will fail.

NOTE: If you have scheduled content fail, we do not recommend deleting your connection to the platform because that disconnects any future pieces of content you have scheduled from the integration and those will fail even if you reconnect.

If you suspect another reason, please contact us at contact@enji.co
